Biography

Carlos A. Ryerson is a bicultural and bilingual lawyer with over forty years of diverse experience in international and immigration law. Mr. Ryerson was born in Chile, of an American father and a Peruvian mother, and spend his formative years in over eight countries of Latin America. Mr. Ryerson is Founder, Director, and President of Ryerson & Associates, P.C., which he originally founded in 1983.

Mr. Ryerson began his professional career at Baker & Botts in 1974.

Admissions, Memberships, and Awards

  • Admitted before the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of New York, and the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
  • Allowed to practice Immigration Law anywhere in the United States.
  • Member of the Houston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the State Bars of Texas and New York.
  • Honorary degree as Doctor Honoris causa in International Law, as well as an S.J.D., from Albert Schweitzer University in Brazil;
  • Licensed International Arbitral Judge and Mediator before the Chamber of Commerce of Mediation and International Arbitration of the Brazilian States.
  • Held for over forty years the Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent with Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating in both legal abilities and ethical standards reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary.
